Overview
LinkPro’s disk-to-disk backup software provides
a data disaster recovery solution for enterprise data
critical to the success of your business. This disk-to-disk
backup and recovery software based of advanced file
replication technology provides a very effective data
disaster recovery solution:
- Continuous disk-to-disk backup to a remote disaster
recovery site
- Access to backup to the
remote disaster recovery site ensures 24X7X365 data
availability
- Real-time operation minimizes
impact on network performance
- Backup window is greatly reduced or eliminated
- Runs with Windows NT/2000/2003
servers on LANs, WANs and VPNs
Server
Backup & Disaster Recovery
Many of today's organizations have geographically remote
and dispersed servers containing critical business data.
Each of these remote servers require application data
backup and recovery support. In the past, this process
was usually limited to the use of some sort of tape
backup software by a system administrator at each remote
site. A more effective disk-to-disk backup and recovery
solution can be achieved using a Central Backup Server
and LinkPro's disk-to-disk backup software.
This remote
server data backup and recovery process is easily managed
from a central site using an intuitive GUI. Each remote
server's files are continuously and transparently replicated
to a dedicated directory on the Central Server's disk
storage. This up-to-date backup copy in now available
from the central location through a network connection
if the remote server goes down. When the remote
server is restored to operation, the required backup
data can immediately be replicated from central to back
to the remote server. Since this is compatible with
most tape backup systems, an archive backup using tape
can be done once a week at the central server.
The Benefits
of using Disk-to-Disk Backup & Recovery
Software
- Data is backed up to the disaster recovery site
as changes are made keeping the backup copy current.
- Immediate access of an up-to-date remote data backup
disaster recovery site
- Rapid disk-to-disk data recovery from the disaster
recovery site to local server.
- When data is restored, data loss is reduced to a
minimum.
- Continuous real-time operation minimizes impact
on network performance.
- Backup windows all but eliminated.
- Provides 24X7 data availability and disaster recovery.
This disk-to-disk
backup and disaster recovery capability can allow the
business operation to continue to run with a minimum
break in continuity when equipment failure or disaster
strikes. This is why disk-to-disk
backup software is becoming a standard requirement
for IT infrastructures world-wide. |
